Today marks the 40th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination. While most people will associate Dr. King with the fight for racial equality in this country, you can't separate what he stood for from the fight of the LGBT community for their basic civil rights, let alone their natural right to dignity. It was Dr. King who said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
